Med Spa Black Friday Promotions: 10 Data-Backed Ideas for 2026

20 October 2026

Last holiday, 2,000+ aesthetic practices sold through RepeatMD between November 1 and January 31. The top 10% of practices took 57% of it.

These are the 10 numbers that separate them from everyone else, each with the one thing to do about it for your med spa Black Friday promotions this season.

Timing

1. Black Friday sold 8.7x an average October day

The three biggest days of the season were Black Friday, Cyber Monday and the Monday before Thanksgiving.

Do this: Opt in to the RepeatMD Done-For-You Black Friday promotion in your dashboard.

2. A one-week sale beats a two-week sale

Promotions that ran 4 to 7 days sold a median of $1,480. The most common length, 8 to 14 days, sold a median of $825.

Do this: Run your main sale for about a week with a hard end date, then add a one-day flash sale for a spike.

Promotions

3. Put the whole menu on sale

Practices that ran their own menu-wide sale grew 47% over their October. Practices that discounted just a few treatments grew 13%.

Do this: Run one sale across your whole menu, not a handful of deals. Promotions in RepeatMD make this a single setup.

4. About 20% off is the sweet spot

Deals at 20 to 25% off brought in the most money of any discount level: $4.85M across 684 practices. Deals at 50% off or more averaged a $158 order. The winners didn't go deeper; they ran more offers.

Do this: Lead with about 20% off the treatments patients already want.

5. Stack one free extra on top of the sale

Top practices that layered one value-add onto their sale grew 52%, vs 41% for those that ran discounts only. On its own, a free extra made about 42% less per promotion than a discount.

Do this: Keep the sale as the main event and add one extra on a hero treatment, such as "buy 50 units, get 10 free."

Gift cards

6. The gift card bonus made 5x

Offers like "buy a $500 gift card, get $100 in credit" made $14,131 per promotion, about 5x a gift card discount sale ($2,638).

Do this: Set one bonus rate on every card size: $100 gets $20, $500 gets $100, $1,000 gets $200.

7. Thanksgiving week is gift card week

Thanksgiving week sold the most gift cards, more than the next two weeks combined. A second wave brought in 21% of gift card dollars between December 15 and 24. January brought in 4%. Gift card offers that ran 15 to 31 days sold a median of $3,541, vs $1,824 for one week.

Do this: Have gift cards live before Thanksgiving and keep the offer running through Christmas, with a second push from December 15.

8. Sell big cards

Cards of $500 or more brought in $2.09M, more than half of all holiday gift card revenue.

Do this: Lead with $500 and $1,000 cards.

Memberships

9. Commitment keeps members

92% of members on 6 to 12 month plans with a Beauty Bank were still active at 90 days. Month-to-month plans kept 38%.

Do this: Make 6 to 12 months your default term, with banked monthly credit in every tier.

10. January is membership month

6,257 new members joined in January, the most of the season. December brought in 3,931.

Do this: Build your membership plans now and launch your membership push on January 1. Here's how to become a membership-first practice.
